Self-Portrait – September 2012

September was a busy month. I flew back to Michigan to photograph a wedding, my mom flew back to Seattle with us and spent a week here. We went all over that week she was here and I have a few photos of myself eating at all my favorite places running around the city, but I wanted something else this month.

Cue in the last weekend of the month. The weather could not have been more perfect. We got in the car and drove. We went east, our own little ‘Cascade Loop’ and then with daylight left we decided to hop a ferry and go to Whidbey Island. We’d never been before.

We had an amazing day. I’ll post photos from the whole adventure in a different post. For now, one of me. We pulled off the road and went down to this creek. The boulders and tree trunks in the dry side of the creek bed provided entertainment for the boys. While they were throwing rocks into the swiftly running center of the creek I set up the self-timer and ran along the rocks. :)
