Tulips on Film

So my darling friend Jessica has been shooting a LOT with her medium format film camera lately.

When we moved to Seattle I discovered that my old film camera had a roll in it, a half finished roll.

Encouraged by Jessica and curious like a cat I brought my AE-1 with me to the tulip fields at RoozenGaarde last week.

I’ve been a nervous wreck all week waiting to see how they turned out – since it wasn’t until I finished the roll and took it out that I discovered it was 800 and not 100 like I assumed it would be. Since I shot it thinking it’d be 100 … you know what they say happens when you assume something…

… here are a few of my favorites… I re-sized them for the blog, but didn’t do any other editing…

And what was on the first half of the roll? Photos of some darling friends of ours. I remembered this when I saw them. I shot most of Alan and Autumn’s session with digital.

this one is my favorite…
