This adorable family and I wandered around Lake Union Park one beautiful Saturday morning.
We started out by hanging off the end of the pier. We didn’t find any fish, but we did see an algae covered chain and a stick.
Evan is so cute. He is sweet and kind and full of energy and adventure. In this next shot Evan is saying ‘good morning space needle’ in his sweet little voice.
I love the fountains. Love. I also love that these kids were told not to get soaked and they listened to their parents.
Joy is a great big sister. She’s smart and funny and adorable. She was also a bit shy. But still lots of fun.
I love this photo. I love that my focal point is on Mai’s smile.
Chris and Mai haven’t had photos taken professionally since their wedding – 10 years ago. As the kids were winding down we let them play at the water’s edge and I got some photos of just mom and dad. I realize I say it in every family blog post – but it’s so important to capture mom and dad alone in these sessions. As parents we spend the majority of our time providing for and taking care of the kids. Sometimes taking care of each other falls to the wayside a bit. How awesome to be able to look back once our kids are grown and on their own and remember the moments… not just of the kids, but the moments we carved out for each other amid the chaos. The tiny moments, the looks, the hugs, the laughter, the joy, the love. With that – here are a few of my favorite ‘mom and dad moments’.
Chris and Mai – thank you so much. It was a privilege photographing your lovely family.
