While I was in California earlier this month I knew I wanted to wake up early and catch the sunrise. Our last day there the skies did not disappoint. I headed towards the eastern edge of the property and this was the beautiful view.
I love the horse ears silhouetted against the sunrise sky in the background.
Just after taking the horse photo I headed inside and was standing in the kitchen chatting with my aunts when I happened to look out the window. I tried not to be spastic as I set my coffee cup down, grabbed my camera, and bolted out the door. This was the view. One I knew I did not want to miss. I didn’t adjust the saturation in any of these photos. This was the brilliance of the sunrise.

These are really pretty, makes me want to try to get up early for a change, like I’m missing out on something great. But then I do live in the land of the wind chill factor, so maybe I’ll just enjoy my sleepin’ in till spring and let you capture the early morning beauty for now. You do it so well, Thanks!

Lovely! Glad I’m not the only one who goes spastic over sunsets and sunrises. Not much else makes me dash or run these days …except overdosing on Starbucks.
