The boys and I drove up into Mt Rainier National Park last Friday, September 2nd. The weather was perfect. The mountain was out almost the entire visit. We hiked around for about 3 hours and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation.
I didn’t bring the tripod and spent most of this hike looking for a suitable place to prop the camera up. On the way back to the car at the end of our day, I found a lovely rock on the side of the trail and set up the self timer. At first it seemed odd to be using a photo without Mt Rainier herself in the frame. But you know what… this was our view the whole way down. And it is a beautiful view.
We are already planning our next visit to the park.
(I’ll be putting up another PNW Series post will be going up later this week with more photos from our trip.)
