Self-Portrait – June

Here is my slightly late for June – June self-portrait. I had fantastic intentions of blogging while we were in Seattle all last week. That didn’t happen. :)

Ok, so back to this picture. I had a beach portrait session set up for Sunday June 26th. It was a perfect day. Not too hot, not humid, not too windy. Perfect. So I called my mom and she came along to watch my boys while I was working on the other side of the beach. We got there and the boys played in and out of the water with perfect slightly overcast blue skies above them. Mom and I sat in chairs and chatted. Then my clients (who also happen to be dear friends) got there and I went to work and mom stayed with the boys.

A couple hours later it was much cloudier and I remembered that I was determined to have a beach self-portrait for June. I started clicking. This is what you get. Overcast, not much sky/water definition, and a pink-in-the-face-cause-my-sunscreen-didn’t-last me.

I’m going to attempt the beach thing again in July… but we’re moving in 3 weeks. So I may end up with me in the middle of a house full of boxes instead…
