A Family at the Beach

When you think of doing photos at the beach mid-June, you expect warm sunny days. We got plenty of sun, but it was cold. Like 50 degrees. We’d have all been more comfortable in sweatshirts. But this family toughed it out and look adorable.

This family means a lot to me. Angelina, Jon, and their kids Javin and Leah, have been coming to me for family portraits three years in a row. As long as I’ve been doing photography full time. (click to see their first and second sessions)

I got a little emotional while taking this photo of the kids… I’ve seen them grow and change and been able to document those little moments. I’m gonna miss them.

Last summer I took Angelina’s youngest sister Marina’s senior portraits. Her boyfriend Chris joined the family for portraits today. She’s just as cute as ever and it’s very obvious Chris adores her.

I got to meet their other sister Deanna, her hubby Justin, and their precious baby Caden today for the first time. Caden is almost 1 and such a happy smiling baby.

These photos wouldn’t be complete without their parents… Dean and Melissa. By themselves and with their grand-kids.

One of the sisters, Angelina, Deanna, and Marina…

One last one to leave you with… they wanted to jump for a photo. I love that they did, because I wouldn’t have asked them to, and this photo makes me smile.

Angelina – thank you for trusting me to capture these moments in your life, for introducing me to your family, for making my job so much fun. I’m looking forward to seeing you next summer. :)

To the rest of the fabulous family – thank you. Here are more of my favorites.
