Lisa + Nathan – “First Look” and Bridal Portraits

My sister got married Saturday. (April 23, 2011) Since I was in the wedding I wasn’t going to be taking many photos. The one thing I insisted on was taking their “first look” photos. So here’s my angle for that and some bridal portraits I took.

(The photographer they hired took photos during this time also and I will link you to his website when/if he posts them so you can see an alternate angle.)

Here’s the official “first look” – which in case you were wondering… it’s the couple seeing each other before the ceremony. It’s become quite popular. It’s a really great way to get your bridal portraits and bridal party shots done before the ceremony, which leaves you less stressed and able to enjoy more of the cocktail hour and reception with your guests.

Had to get a photos of them kissing…

I made a comment like ‘ok guys that was good’ and Nathan made a comment like ‘no, I think we need to do it again’ and here are the very next three shots…

Then into the gazebo for a couple more…

Does she have amazing eyes or what?!

Lisa and Nathan. Congrats. A million times over. And thank you for having me in the wedding and still able to take these photos. I love you bunches! See you soon. :)

These are lovely! So glad you found some color with that forsythia bush too, since we’ve had such a late spring this year.

I love the one that is third from last. Her expression is awesome, kinda naughty and fierce. Nice work. (Oh and her dress is delightful!)
