A Family of 8

This family is great. Serious. I know I say that about everyone, and yes, everyone is pretty awesome. But this family was straight up great. Alan and Autumn, remember them from their family pictures last year? His mom Nancy called and said that her other son, Bryan, was bringing his family home for a visit and they wanted to have family photos taken.

We got together on a humid sticky morning full of gray overcast skies. They were patient and ready with smiles and happy faces. Willing to stand where I asked and full of their own ideas too. That first picture – on the bed – that was all Nancy’s idea. “I just want everyone to flop on my bed.” Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.Everyone was so relaxed, laid back, and comfortable. It was sheer joy to work with all of you.

Here’s Alan and Autumn this year…

Bryan and Sarah – your boys were great. I have 2 little boys myself. I know they don’t always feel like cooperating. But they were so ready with smiles, laughter, crazy faces, and ideas. It made my job easy. Here’s one of your family that I just can’t get enough of….

And the boys with their crazy faces… yeah… here ya go.. Ayden

… and Avery

Thank you all so much for making this fun and exciting. There were so  many little favorite moments I had while photographing you guys. Here are the rest of my favorites.
