I can not believe my little baby is 3. No longer that tiny baby that refused to eat or sleep. No longer that chubby baby crawling around pulling on the cat’s tail. So quickly is he outgrowing that toddler stage and come into his own as a little boy. Now he’s 3 and singing and counting and going to pre-school. He is so smart, so full of mischief and personality, and still doesn’t like to eat or sleep.
I’m going to savor every minute of the next year. The changes we watched Cody go through from being 3 and still a toddler to turning 4 and being all kid happened so fast, so unexpectedly fast.
So here is Gavin. Three years old. Still finding wonder and excitement in little things. Still getting scared to pieces by a cattail hanging over a walkway. The same cattail that he had walked under seconds before and was fine with. The same cattail, by the way, that a minute later he was touching – examining how soft it felt. The sheer pleasure in plucking an apple from a tree and having a bite.
Many thanks to Megan of http://orchardonthelake.net for allowing us to access to your beautiful property. There were so many wonderful photo opportunities and backdrops. All of the lake and orchard pictures were taken here.

These are beautiful Danielle! I laughed out loud when i saw the photo of him freaking out over the cat-tail! Classic. Love the expression you captured. Also, i really love the shot of him carrying the 2 apples. These will be sure to be treasured memories.
Thank you Carrie. I laugh every single time I see the freaked out picture! Just never gets old.
